General Banter / Is this a lot for an exhaust?

Magnaflow has gone up alot recently. as a UK supplier they have just made it too hard to import them at a good price now.
We mainly work with Stainless works now as no one can compete with their products quality.

Columns are all the same by GM either tilt or not. Only early GM cars differ slightly. Rockauto will have one for your car think it is £25 for a Delco one.

4th gens are prone to battery draw, You can test the draw like Andy has said. Its normally the main interior light fuse which is sometimes linked to the central locking for the alarm. As its easy to get to alot just remove the fuse when not using the car for a while.

General Banter / How many?

4x V8s  a 6 cylinder Beemer and a 4 pot Astra. Think that makes 42 not all on the road though.

What dash did the vert have in it, Looks like a 91 to me with a private plate on it. Probably has the TBI motor in it.

Not the best airbrush work I have seen but it is impressive to cover a whole car.
Air brushing cars is not my thing though but each to their own

General Banter / Think your car uses too much fuel?...

Seen that model in a museum in Pomona, made me jump when it started dumping the fuel, was really loud I thought I had broken it.

General Banter / Battery or Alternator?
November 26, 2010, 03:43:49 AM
Dont you have a volt meter in the car, When idling it should show around 13.5-14V if the alternator is working, if its around 12V its not working.
The cold weather can however finish off an old battery quite easily.

Rust creeps under the clear POR15 it is thicker than the black but not as good rust protection. Is ok on clean steel but not over rust like they say it is. Hot Rod magazine found the same problem when they tested it.

Have you checked your idler arm and front steering components, That will cause vibration at speed and is a common fault on 3rd gens? If you have trouble getting blasting done I can media blast most things for you even rubber or plastic

The 2nd gen was in a mag quite a few years ago will try and dig it out.
Looks like the first gen is sporting Ring Brothers hood hinges or similar.
Im wanting to do that for the 3rd gens but need to get someone to CNC the bits up.
#24
Havnt seen that 2nd gen in years looks like a good turn out.

Sunvisers are good light grey in colour, Roof lining is also good if anyone needs one.
The customer wants to seel the rear end complete.
If you take a pic of the spring you need I may have one somewhere else.
