Managed to lock my keys in the car on Sunday while in PC World Car Park in Luton.

Mind was elsewhere and I left the keys in the ignition barrel, locked the door from the inside and slammed it shut.

Knew it would happen eventually, but I only have one set of keys, so after checking with our bible of knowledge, Philo I called the RAC who I hadn't used for this job before.

Thankfully panel gaps on our beloved yanks are generous, so he had no trouble jimmying that inflatable wotsit between the window glass and expanding a gap big enough to squeeze a long metal rod through to slide the lock on the opposite side.

Whole job took him 30 seconds and he didn't break sweat.

Kind of showed me how vulnerable my car is to break in, so glad it's locked up at night.

For a brief while I was thinking my purchase of spare side glass for 99p was a masterstroke......

Well if you want an alarm fitting i have a top notch guy in the MK area

I broke into Chris' Fiero the same way.

As soon as I fabricated a suitable "instrument" out of a piece of copper tube I had the door unlocked in a minute or so.

Still, Muppet for doing it.

(Chris has done it at least 3 times)

Yup, he locked the duster keys in the trunk at bling last year

Roadkill

And left the Duster keys in the ignition . . .we had to take him a spare set.

All hail Chris!

Clearly a league above me.

I'll probably be the first one not to apply hand brake successfully on a slope, while leaving the box in neutral.

Mark my words.
