Mini, VW Beetle,Porsche 911?
You're getting closer if you said the Ford F-Series, but still, FoMoCo didn't launch its best-selling pickup until 1948.

Go all the way back to 1935 for the launch of the auto industry's Methuselah, the Chevrolet Suburban and 2010 is the 75th anniversary of the full-size SUV

Here are eight of the ten historic generations.
Model years 1936, 1946, 1951, 1966, 1972, 1990, 1999 and 2002

Damn, that even beats the Jeep by 5 years!

Quoting: "Wikipedia"
The Suburban retains the same height and width dimensions as the Chevrolet Tahoe, with an additional 20 inches added on to the length of the vehicle.

Quoting: "Wikipedia"
The extra length provides a full-sized cargo area behind the up to 9 passengers to carry their luggage for an extended trip

Not like those stupid European and Japanese "people carriers" that can carry 7 people and absolutely no luggage whatsoever...

I actually prefer the look of the tahoe, its better proportioned in my eyes, but regardless, I think the 'hoe / 'burb is still one of the best yanks ever built, it really can stand up against any of its rivals on its own merit.

funny i always think it's the Tahoe thats out of proportion although the 2 door looks better than the 4 IMO

The 90s ones look the best

95 on burbs, with the air bag steering wheel and on the fly 4wd are awesome tools. Great tow trucks and good mpg from the diesel.

Can't beat a 'Burb.

Would love to be able to justify one . . . .
