Renault World Series 2010

Been to Silverstone today for the Renault World Series.  Not really my thing but I thought I'd give it a try.

Tickets are still valid for tomorrow for anyone who wants them.  4 up for grabs.

Going Sunday if the weather isn't too bad

Well firstly it was



Spent over an hour queuing along the A43 to park in a field miles away



It was really packed with people, I think we went on Saturday the last two times



The new Silverstone Grandstand is coming along





Really couldn't get near to any of the events or shows
Although crowded I can't believe it was as busy as a proper race day



Silverstone's facilities are now really good, except for the bridges and tunnels which cross over the track, it takes nearly half an hour of queuing to get to the other side

On the way out of the car park we were diverted through nearly 5 miles of shale track back onto the A43 heading the wrong way down the A43

Finished off by sitting nearly stationary on the M1 for an hour, before we crawled off at J13 and came home across country, by which time the M1 must have been backed back up to the M6
