Ben Collins has been dumped by the BBC after trying to publish his Autobiography

The replacement Stig – whose identity is ­obviously being kept a closely-guarded secret – has been brought in a week after Formula 3 driver Collins' identity was ­revealed amid a High Court battle over his ­autobiography.

Great bit of news coverage for an otherwise average book though.

I thought it had been common knowledge for a couple of years that he was the stig, it was confirmed when they took the 3 series saloon on the endurance race. As an MSA event all drivers have to register, he was shown on the Top Gear team as the 4th driver
