Roadkill

Fantastic film.

I've resisted commenting on it until now to make sure, but I truly believe it's the best film I have seen. Ever.

Excellent direction, well written and with grade 'A' acting.

Even the music, as sung by the actors themselves, was comparable to the originals.

. . . .

. . . . . . . . Still.  I'm sure when they make "MMM Bop - the movie - (rated Uc)" it will be better . . . . Or maybe "The life and times of Neds atomic Dustbin - (rated PG)" will inspire generations of recording artists to come . . . . .

. . . .

. .

But I doubt it.

FUBAR

I've still got that small bit of Ring of Fire stuck in my head, trouble is it's making me hungry as I've always associated it with Currys up until now
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Roadkill

Whatever the one - I've had a Cash song in my head since.

Some from the film, some not.

Kinda cool because it makes me highly resistant to any crap which I hear playing on the radio.

Agreed.

I wouldn't go as far as saying it was the best film I ever saw.....by a long shot.  but I was a very interesting and entertaining.

Ahh, the Shifty school of film.

Hmm . . .

FUBAR

I tell you what though, the only time in the whole film I was left with an "Oh, ok..." feeling was how quickly they went off the Folsom Prison Scene.
Seen as it was his most famous moment (?) I'd have thought they would have spent some more time on it...

Agreed, there.

That show was the turning point in his life . . . I;d be interested to see a "Directors cut" of the film.

philoldsmobile

was it johny cash that did that song 'big john'?

the one about the fucked up mine?

Roadkill

That was by Jimmy Dean I believe . . . Not Johnny Cash-ish at all, really.

FUBAR

As Ryan says - It came out a while ago . . . It's just that Ryan resurected it.

Part of my Job is the Charging of the Internal Telephone Costs around the council, his name was against a number for which I had no Cost centre Allocated (& hence I was looking into it) so thinking "Na surely not..." I checked it on the e-mail database
