I reckon there would be a market in importing the New VW Citi.

My brother is currently out there and his friend has one, he says it like sitting in a new car except the outside has that dated 80's appeal.

Cti Golf... this has CP daily driver written all over it.

Actually, I think the idea of it is cool, but I'm not really into every VW.

For a daily driver, I'd rather have:

Interestingly (or perhaps not), the company I currently work for designed the engine ECU for the City Golf.

As far as I know, the interior is a Skoda Fabia made to fit and the outside is a Mk1 Golf with power steering, air-con etc.

Ha, that was my first thought too. That would sell extremely well over here in the VW scene. Bring over a few containers full of them
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

Yeah, i mean, they don't need to go into containers, the salt air on the ship from South Africa will add to the patina, panitani rust look!
