When Precision Car Restoration in St. Louis wanted to highlight its work, it decided to create a rolling before and after ad by restoring exactly half of a 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado

I'd imagine that only restoring half the vehicle is a lot harder than doing the whole thing

I kind of like it

Yeah but slight difference between a mini bonnet, and a complete car - with interior!!!

I prefer the original Interior with the restored Exterior

In the US they sometimes do what they call a 'British restoration' where rather than every nut and bolt being replaced / reconditioned, serviceable parts are re used where possible, as long as they are in decent condition.

I personally prefer this look, as quite often restored vehicles can look better than when they left the factory. while its nice to see a perfect vehicle, I do believe an old vehicle should tell a story, and its nice to see original parts, its much more sympathetic to the vehicle.
