I would... however there's 1 potential MASSIVE problem, apartment buildings which this now is tend to have a service charge applicable to each property for maintainance of communal areas & the structure of the main building... this is no doubt going to be astronomical in this case to pay for the maintainance of that building...

this is true..I'll bet its grossly over inflated in the UK too,

For mum and dads place its a couple of hundred euros a year, that covers cleaning of the halls (and they are kept spotless) maintenance of the lifts, and maintenance of the automatic garage doors and the lights, and the building in general.
