Happened to look in my diary on Thursday and suddenly noticed that the Camaro's MOT runs out on 20th August

Ran the garage on Friday and he said he could do it Saturday morning

I did wonder he was going to notice that the rear bump stops are disintegrating
They are made from some sort of foam and when I ran Usless Automotive a couple of months ago, they quoted me £79 + vat + delivery for a pair
I'm sure that I can get some decent rubber ones for less

Anyways it passed but he found one serious fault, he said that it would normally be at least an advisory, but he knew I'd fix it

Some numpty ( that'll be me ) put the ruddy front wheels back on the wrong way round, because the tyres are directional
Which meant that they have been running in the wrong direction since about March

So the first job when  I got home was to swap them back again, so I took the opportunity to give them a good clean

The Calipers and discs aren't 100% but they'll do

Just got the front wheels back on again an it started to rain, so had to do the rear wheels inside the garage

Then spent the next couple of hours cleaning the engine bay

Then protected the rear end before changing the rear lights back to American spec

Finished the day cleaning the inside, including all the shut areas :

So wheels, underside, engine bay and interior are all done, still got to spend too many hours on the exterior

Incidentally my target mileage for the year was 1,500 miles which I missed again
But the total was a non too shabby 1,455 miles

Total mileage is now a heady 29,900km or 18,583 miles ( an average of 1,689 miles per year )

More like senile dementia

Still at least it shows that he is doing a thorough MOT to ensure the car is safe

and cam belts i'll wager? going to be doing my  belts soon, apparently its a shockingly easy job on the pantah motor. Seen some vids on youtube, and it does look as simple as falling off a log...

What do they look like?  I have some new poly ones (in red) that I won't be using.

Something like this :

In that case, the ones I have won't fit.  They have a single bolt coming out of the middle of the back, a bit like a T-piece.

In fact, I've remember the exact details now:

Thank you for the offer, looks like it's back to e-gay
