had my 1st issue, a carb overfueling problem think it needs a rebuild the car hasn't been used much and i know its not been rebuilt for at least 10 years

It was a Holley on that wasn't it ?

If you want simple reliable (no frills) stick an Edelbrock on it.

Holleys still baffle me . . . Any one I've tried to sort makes no sense - good carbs if you know 100% what you're doing with them but they seem overly complicated to me.



EDIT - check the requlator if the pump is electric.  As I found even new ones seem to "stick"

Also over-fuelling doesn't strike me as a result from needing a rebuild.  More likely an adjustment.
(When any carb of mine needed a rebuild it does the opposite - underfuel - or simply the fuel spills out the side )

the car hasn't been used much at all Holleys hate that and this model in particular so i read is bad for seals n gaskets warping etc

its a mech pump and the pressure is cock on

bought a new carb same model so i can just bolt it on and drive then fart about with the other as i like
