Sharp looking coupe

Won't mind one of these

Thing is it's hiding a little secret ?

It's an electric car, basically all the electric shizz from the Chevy Volt including it's range extender engine,  so that means you have a battery good for about 40 miles and a gasoline range extender. That means a 300 mile point-to-point journey will happen before all the moving juice is depleted.

Having driven the Volt for a couple of hundred miles I loved the drive train, but hated the car, Hell if electric cars can look this good sign me up

300 miles is that it!  How big is the fuel tank?

I will get about 225-240 miles out of a 16Gal tank on a run in the IROC though, so lets call it 270 with the 40mile range extender electric gubbins... IMO it makes more sense that way around, petrol, with the electric "Oh carp i've run out of Gas" range extender.

Thats not a huge improvement when you think that Dean gets a LOT more miles per fill-up in his few-year-old Mondeo.

It definately conforms to modern pedestrian safety regs though... its very limpet shaped...

You could go Storm Chasing in that and I bet it wouldn't get whisked away by a Twister, Helen Hunt would be very impressed...
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Roadkill

Not bad.

Nice interior but it does look a little hairdresser-ish from the side.

Would be better if they shoe-horned a nice V8 in there . . . .

Cunning Plan

I'm never sure about the 'point' style they have at the rear. Chrysler did it with the Spitfire and I thought it just looked odd..
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

looks ok , just hope they have sorted the engines. dont think mr redbourne would buy another modern cadillac.

thing with these hybrid pos are this.

as i see it the volt and others are battery driven, the engine is just a gennie.
therefore why not have a diesel engine as they are better gennies.
and if it was a diesel then you should be able to run it on red diesel. why should you pay a fuel duty if your car is battery/electric motor driven. but you cant do this

therefore if you have to have a petrol engine in your electric car then why not run it on lpg.
