Following the cut in excise duty yesterday, if you drink 310 pints of Beer you'll now get one free

Apart from Burgess Brewery in Northampton, they don't get any benefit.

I remember Spitfire was £1.35 not so long ago at the "Moon . . . . " in M.K

It's about £2.30 for a guest ale in spoon's now.

£3.40 in my local, and that's after the landlord having held the price for 2years in a row even though the brewery keep putting it up. It's not so much the tax killing off pubs, the breweries are doing their fair share of it!

In the Rose & Crown where I work a Fosters is £3, Premium Larger is £3.50 and the ales are £2.65 for Eagle and £3.10 for Youngs Special. Guest beers are £3.10 as well

Again, prices have been at that level for at least 18 months.
