A very funny guy whose comedy i've always liked, he will be missed.

I sense a Young Ones / Bottom / Live Marathon coming on...

Quoting: Ade Edmondson
"There were times when Rik and I were writing together when we almost died laughing," said Edmondson on Monday.

"They were some of the most carefree stupid days I ever had, and I feel privileged to have shared them with him.

"And now he's died for real. Without me. Selfish bastard."

Saw Ade's comment earlier - absolutely classic.

I grew up with my older brothers watching the Young Ones in the early 80's . . . It was a major part of my youth and I've always loved that style of humour.

Still can't quite get over this. They say he had cardiac arrest after coming back from his morning run :(

Had the privilege of seeing Bottom live twice. Absolutely fantastic!!

RIP Rick - thank you for the laughs over the years!  You will be missed :'(
