Does anyone need to do any diamond drilling ?

I'm planning on hiring a drill and diamond core bit to drill a hole for a 100mm duct through a wall in the very near future.

The kit comes with 2", 4" 5" and 6" cores - am happy to split the costs (hire charge is £40) as I only need it for an hour but minimum hire is a day.

Let me know as it could help someone out.

Just the extractor in the bathroom . . . I got the hole cut in the ceiling, the ducting in and the fan mounted . . Just need the exterior vent and the wiring - nudge, nudge - done.

Thinking about this wouldnit go through the granite I've got at home......?

Hmmm . . . dunno.  You need to use a percussion drill to act as a guide before switching to the core bit.

I'm really not sure how it'd cope with granite slab ???
