This is a worrying Trend, clearly this is aimed at Midlands equivalent of the the kind of folk with modified small hatchbacks who meet near the Network Rail Offices in Milton Keynes regularly, but this seems to be a sweeping statement including all types of car enthusiast meetings that use public roads?

Hmm, looking at the video it shows the street racing crowds so it's proabably them that have prompted this action, sadly though as you say it looks to be "car cruises" so people need to be careful about promoting their 'meets' as 'cruises' i guess?

It only needs one person to pull a burnout leaving an otherwise well run event and the Police will try to stop it; to be fair I've been guilty myself of doing exactly that which is why I stopped attending to take away the temptation

I've always said to people we don't promote doing burnouts or 'fast exits' when they leave, but as far as I'm concerned it's their car and their risk, I'm not about to ban people coming. In fact I think the only complaint we had was from a woman who wasn't impressed that a Lambo that turned up took up two spaces.

I don't mind when they are being considerate and keeping themselves to themselves, as I know when you are 17, 18, 19, there are not that many places to go, but you do sometimes hear the revving of engines and tyres squealing.

I don't think this will be an overall trend . . . and if it was, I don't think the Police could (or would) clamp down on everyone . . . At the end of the day, they know who causes the trouble so would likely only use such an injunction on those types of meets.

I do agree, it does seem "over-legislating" to get yet another book they can throw at you if needed though (in those areas)
