Renault failed its MOT most of it I understand and can probably fix/bodge but whats an offside rear brake (i understand that bit) load sensing valve linkage.  Apparently its seized...

could be the thing that sort of adjusts the brake balance for when you have a trailer attached   ( seeing as you dont have a towbar... wtf? )

has the car got ABS?

F Body

It's the valve which controls the amount of brake pressure going to the rear brakes.
It normally has a spring or linkage connected to the rear axle.
When the rear axle raises under heavy braking the valve reduces the amount of brake pressure in the rear brakes so that they don't lock up due to the weight shift to the front of the vehicle.

cheers i'll have look see.  Sounds a bit high tech for a renault 19 though
