That's very right, Mate.

Don't know who it was.  It wasn't me either.

FUBAR

not anymore!!

FUBAR

No Indeed, now its hiding in my garage until i've finished the undersealing... which in itself is trying to make the best of a bad situation as I haven;t got the holes fixed yet

any ideas on a Very temporary "repair" guys? bear in mind I want to get it welded up in the new year.

Roadkill

Fibre glass and sheet metal.

Simple.

It's not a bad permanent fix if it's non-structual, too.

Sorry, Phil - I know it's a bit cowboy-ish.

Roadkill

Oh, either weld in the sheet or even rivet it.

FUBAR

Fibreglass isn;t good because if I decide I was SFC's added its got to be metal there. I just want to stop the salty water getting in over winter...

Roadkill

As I said Temporary fix . . . . . . but It's a do-able permanent fix too.

FUBAR

True, and its not like there's not already glass down there in the same spot.

is it hard to do?

i'd go with sheet metal and rivets, daubed liberaly with underseal.

all you need to do in summer is to drill the rivets out, then clean the underseal off

Roadkill

Fair compromise.

But P40 (glass) is not difficult AND adds an excellent protective covering.
