Graeme and Shifty turned up on time at 08:00am this morning.
Got the old girl started and drove her down the road to the trailer, sod's law that when the engine was started she sounded OK !
Didn't take long for the engine noise to come back, Graeme thinks it's the water pump but last week I took both Alternator & water pump belts off and she still sounded like she was dying ?
Anyways we got her down the road but she was way to wide for the trailer,
so out with the trolley jack and swop the wide wheels for the standard but flat Trans Am wheels.
Then she just squeezed onto the trailer with each wheel touching the side
Because the tyres were flat we had to jack the rear end up to get her onto the trailer, so it wasn't exactly like a Formula 1 pit stop.
But we had it loaded and on it's way to the barn in an hour
I worked out last night that I'd spent £291.19p on her , probally forgot something ?
When I bought her my only intention was to get her back onto the road, which is why I sold her for £300, I really hope that Graeme can get her sorted and back onto the road.

They're probably there still tryin to get it back off the trailer.

On close inspection it appears that the top end has not been oiling for some time. We pulled the rocker covers and there was no oil there even with the motor running. After removing a head you could actually see the rockers had gone rusty and were worn.

The cam shaft had also seen some wear as had the bores

Won't be difficult, being a Pontiac,

Just hope they don't rip it all out in the name of "weight saving"...
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

not gona happen, want the car/interior to look a std as possible. Certain things will be removed but nothing that changes the apperance.

Will keep the top carpet and dash but remove as much weight as we can, might strip the rear seats of the metal frames just leave the pads. We really need to get the car down to about 3000lbs

The iterior's nothing special.  It's worn and the seats look collapsed.

THe door cards are cracked and falling to pieces . .  the dash is cracked . .

I would not loose sleep over chucking it out, TBH.

Although I have a feeling you'd do that even if it was in good nick.

T'is not true.

In fact i've spent a great deal recently improving the interior on the Camaro . . . .

The idea is to keep it looking stock so it keeps a sleeper look but loose as much weight as possable, so under carpets, sound deadening heater core anything thats not needed to go down a 1/4 mile strip
