Well sort of mini road trip

Got myself a works van, large custom made motorcycle ramp ( borrowed ) some heavy duty tie downs ( also borrowed ) and a map to the DVLA Inspection Yard in Millbrook.

I'll load up the van in the morning with the new motorcycle and keep fingers crossed that the DVLA jobsworths finally agree to register it after inspection, although even if it passes it will take at at least another week to get the paperwork & tax disc etc ( that I've already paid for )

Well got up at 06:00am this morning to load the van :

There was no need to worry about getting it out of the hallway, a quick shimmy to the left and it was out, so easy in fact that I suggested to management that I might keep it in the hall ( I still have the bruise ).

Got to then DVLA Inspection compound at 09:00am half an hour early, basically it's one Inspector and an office Clerk.
The Clerk said at 09:10am seeing as the 09:00am and 09:10am appointments are not here yet we'll do you first
Basically all he did was check the frame number and the vin plate and tried to look at the engine number, which being right under the engine he decided was too much like hard work and just copied the number from the DVLA paperwork.
He then wrote down the recorded mileage ( 0.3 km ) and asked if it was new, it took about ten minutes and if the DivyLA see fit I might get a tax disc and reg number next week ?

Here's the bike in it's new outside home :

Note the heavy duty toughened chain and lock through the rawl bolted wall plate epoxyed to the wall.

Sterring lock is also on :

As is the Disc lock :

and I also threw in the Generator cable lock for good measure :

However because it's still unregistered I thought it would be better to put a cover over it :

Amazingly I've now actually ridden it
Started straight off the button, I went up and down the road a few times because the clutch cable needed adjusting.
Although it seems big ( for a 200cc ) when parked it feels quite dinky when your riding it.
Digital gear indicator is a dam good idea when your as rusty as I am, it's really quiet and seems to stop and go well.
Managed to put 4km on the clock ( which also has MPH marked in red on the speedo just like the Camaro )
So just waiting for the DVLA
