Missed a point on that one.... It's the 45 profile that saves it more like... For a 245 45 R17 you have a choice of like 60 tyres, ranging from £45 upto £165 depending on how exotic you want to go....

For 245 50 R16's you have a choice of 3... £80 being the cheapest...

Anywho, why do you need that much rubber on a gutless V6 Ford? Why not buy a nice 3rd gen that has that much rubber as standard, or are you preping for a blower???

Luckily the IROC came modded up pretty well in terms of appearance and handling kit.

PhilO's Stang isn't exactly gutless (you should try that Olds Station wagon!!) but fair enough its not the quickest thing on 4 wheels.  The tyre width change is purely because of the new wheels he's got.
