Myself and Fubar were talking about Camaro prices this morning and saying that the late 4th Gen's are getting really affordable
In June's Classic American magazine which arrived this morning :

1999 Camaro Z28 LS1 5.7 V8 red just like mine
48,000miles , full service history , two owners, tax & MOT Feb 08.
Leather , t-tops , CD multichanger , excellent condition :
Birmingham 07817-484214

£7,400 ono

So may be now is the time to bag an LS1

If the insurance is too steep how about a 3.8 V6 with 200bhp ?
2000 yr , 34,000 miles spec as above , silver £4,000 ono
Gloucester 01242-820536

Or for you 80's dudes :

F reg RS 5.0 V8 Convertible , 115,000 miles ,
New custom respray in metallic black , new hood and tyres.
Stunning condition £3,995.
Oxon 01235-537393.

I'm looking to see where mine sits in the 3rd gen table. not going to ask big money as it could do with a spray job but its still a very high optioned low mileage car.

Would love a LS1 but i dont think the wife would appreciate its capabilitys as a family car . However i could P/X the wife for one

Hmm, that sounds familair.
The "new" paint maybe being a year or two old.

Unless there's more than one of them running around.

As the verts were actually not made by Chevrolet and were instead handmade conversions by ASC (at a whopping $5,000 extra if I remember correctly) who had the cars sent to them directly from the GM production line and ASC no longer exist, a new hood is a real bonus as I dread to imagine the cost of having to replace one.

there would be no room for the wife and 2 kids now there's a thought

FUBAR

also be well aware that the convertibles made before 1991 sufferd from more squeaks than a box of mice....

You kidding ?? - those Impala's are HUGE !!

CJ-IROCZ

whats the boot space like ? the problem i have is having room to get the dog in along with 2 car seats pushchairs and the rest of the shite that goes with carting kids on daily outings

add to that my dog , not the wife , is a demon dog from hell that truely belives he owns everything and therefor has to be seperated to stop him bounding round like a 80's raver on grade A ecstacy
