Hmmm, it seems my new Norton 2008 Internet Security software throws a little wobbly when it sees a Paypal Donate button on a website. Turn the Phishing Protection off and its OK.

I don't mind it protecting me from an attempt at phishing but to stop me looking at a site just in case I'm stupid enough to give someone my details is ludicrous.

Took about 20 minutes to work out what was stopping me from logging in

Plain and simple dont use norton, its the worst antivirus program on the planet, it eats system resources and generaly becomes a PITA

Down load AVG for free, its one of the best antivirus programs out there and best of all its free

All i run is the free version, i have it on all the machines at work and have yet to have a single issue. We used to run norton and keep paying the yearly upgrade only to find it causing endless problems.

Same as i now run open office instead of bending over and taking it up the ass for microshite office

I had Norton and it was a pain in the ass, I now run the free Virgin media Virus package and it's fine. It updates itself everytime you log on and seems to pick up most threats and asks you what to do with them.

I'm trying to get work to "upgrade" to it too.

AVG is brill had no trouble with it at all and it kept the nasties out for free cant argue with that

I wouldn't drive away from a forecourt without paying, or shoplift from a store. Not paying for software is exactly the same IMO

I run McAffe, £35 for the year, its okay.  I like the fact that its a good firewall and protects the registery from unautherised editing..

Used to have AVG, thing I didnt like about that was that the update process seemed messy..  Im sure they have revised that now though and made it easier and cleaner..

i have AVG free on one machine, and PC guard (free download from NTHell) on the other, both work sooo much better than norton.

norton 2005 was the worst purchase i ever made, it was great for telling me about viruses, but almost without exception it couldn't do anything about them
