Unbearable.

The bear was trapped between cars headed east and west on the bridge and jumped off the bridge
Somehow the bear caught itself before plummeting 80 feet to the valley below. It ended up spending a night perched precariously on the concrete ledge.

Apparently the bear tried to climb down from this strange resting place, but it quickly decided that wouldn't work. Volunteer rescue workers procured a large net and lots of rope to lower the bear down to the ground below the bridge.
Of course the bear had to be sedated first, and then a brave member of the group ( or was that idiot ) had to push it into the net. Once on the ground, the bear got up and casually walked away.
