Ian,

how much of a PITA is the rear bumper to remove from an SN95? i've got some parts on  the way that would be easier to fit if the bumper were removed, as access is apparently very difficult with it in situ..

FUBAR

I thought you were selling it...

You may fair better than me having smaller hands . . .

lol well it all depends on if you want teh whole bumper off or just the plastic bit...if its the plastic bits - 2 bolts per side (accessed INSIDE the car) then the fixings round the wheel arch & the underside of it - i will double check in the manual tonight but think thats it...

philoldsmobile

just the plastic bit, i have some clear replacements for those nasty red reflectors en route...

only had to move the earth to get them!

def sounds like pulling the bumper cover is the easier option

OK, then yeah just the fixings underneath, along the wheel arch and then 2 bolts holding it in each side and possibly dependant on model up to 6 bolts along the rear valance.

If you want i could scan the page in from the tech manual i got??

philoldsmobile

could you? would be a great help, thanks

Quote from: PhilOIt wants for nothing apart from new headlights

i'm slightly reluctant to change the headlights for 2 reasons..

1) they aint cheap, and some of the cheaper type clear ones give really poor light (just ask edge)

2) the stock ones when cut back, even when slightly yellowed as mine are (though not fogged) give BLOODY good light...

might replace it with a set of new stock ones in due time..

its for sale,  but I'm not pushing to sell it... i might jack the price up a little, its gotta be a good price for me to part with it, because the plan for its replacement really is a heart over head deal, and TBH is a bit stupid really... but if someone wants to give me £4 1/4k for it, ya know... kinda greases the wheels...

more the 'everything has got a price' kind of for sale

Mine were cheapies and the light output is a massive improvement, close to 50% better i'd say (original bulbs as well)

nope, mine are probably the bset headlights i've had on any car yet. incidently, they are infinatley better than edges clear head lights - he was shocked first time he went out in mine at night!
