Help with a PC virus.

A friend has just got win32 BlackBird virus on their PC . . . any ideas how to get rid ?

They're running Nortons and are even more newbish than me !

So, laymans terms, please.

yup definately - do that as a first thing then tell AVG to scan the machine and hopefully it find and remove it!!

depends the last virus i had on the laptop took control of the admin and bootrd me out, there was no way i could install o remove any thing, only option was t reformat
