I know the LT1 and LS1 ports are totally different but what about the Gen 1 (SBC) and the Gen 2's ?

I'm guessing the ports are the same lay-out and the studs positions are the same but are the port shapes the same ?

The Turbo manifolds I'm looking at are for a SBC . . I want to be sure the ports match before buying them.

I've done a image search but found nothing 100% ideal.

Anyone got any SBC heads laying around ?

They are the same layout as a traditional SBC, and I think head bolt pattern is the same, too. The exhaust ports are a little different shape. More of a sideways D. It'll also use a late model 4 bolt intake like the 96-00 Vortec truck engines, I believe. The LT4 is the same except the intake ports have a taller angle on them.

oh and dwain is coolbluess over at HCP mate, he is the perfect go to guy

So would a set of SBC headers interfer with the flow from a LT1 head ?

I doubt it as al header tubes are round anyways. plus you can always port the  heads to match the headers
