the run off is normal length, with all normal run-off extras, only seems short as he was still going above 250MPH on impact.....

New York Daily News reported he was still alive (just) when they got him out but they pronounced him dead at the hospital. And that he'd retired a while back to spend more time with his family and then come back into the sport a few years later.

Horrible horrible horrible...
