So I had a run back down the M1 to J&S in Watford. Say what you will about J&S, but providing you have the receipt they will always change it ( even if it was for the 3rd time ! ).
Decided to avoid Alpine Star this time and went with some Arlen Ness full leather jobbies ....................£90 ouch

Just filled it up with petrol and it cost £7.60

That's 6.50 litres of unleaded @ 116.9 a litre, which means despite my 20mph filtering down through the stationary M1 roadworks, 75mph elsewhere and seeing an Elise off up to 105mph on the clock ( it was all really  a dream officer ) I've averaged 72.64mpg
