Gloves in mid July !!!!!

Dam it was cold this morning, as I cycled to the gym at 05:20am I was wishing I had gloves on
Now if it was September fair enough, but mid July

T'was chilly this morning . . . I was out in the garage spray painting at 7am and it was barely warm enough to paint.

I had to get the hot air gun out to warm the parts slightly first.

Went well though.

Well i wouldnt say easy the 2 ton of sand moved to build the sandcastle was feckin hard work

LOL you think im joking, it was still there on the Sunday evening, the Lifeguards had tried to flatten it but the amount of sand we moved was to much and you could still see the partial remains

That got me thinking " how big is the worlds biggest sand castle" so I google'd it and yep its fecking big

cant be ass'd to save it to my photobucket so ya gonna have to search it for yourself

Well ours was 6x6x3 which with the base we used was the maximum height we could achieve before the weight of the sand was to much for the lower blockwork.

If we had doubled up the base blocks we could have gone higher but for a 1st attempt we were satisfied

yeah, we moved about 2 tonnes of sand with that little spade... t'was a BIG construction attempt for the first go.... at least we set it out properly with pegs and string
