Fooking ace!

Aircraft ally such as this is the best of the best. Can hit it hard all day long and it comes out remarkably well finished. Jamie's discs are aircraft spec ally.

Do they come painted? If so watch out when removing, it'll far likely be very nasty, the military stuff we paint is often anti-tracking and contains se real nasty chemicals with y's and z's in their names. Might be an idea to strip it if the end goal is a BBQ.

That was the plan.

Nitromors it and then run away !

Gator

ha ha ace if i was working id ave one of them like a shot

i want a missile

Andy

Haha!

Nitromors should get it off, it gets some of our MOD paints off and takes the job back to a before paint anodised finish.

Just out of curiosity, what's the dealwith planning on something like that? 20ft up (if going vertical) you'd need some foundations and therefore? Could be completely wrong though.

Would be awesome to see that just sticking above a fence though in suburbia!

Roadkill

You would certainly require planning permission (much like a large satalite dish).

However you'd never get 20 feet of it above the ground.

More realistically you'd cut off the first 4 foot (the tapered nosecone) then build a frame within the next 2-3 feet section (to stop it collapsing) and set that in a foundation.  For a 4 foot diameter I'd guess at least a 7 foot diameter hole would be required before lowering it in, then straightening it up before pouring the concrete.

Overall you'd get about 13-odd feet sticking out.

However this one is destined to become the MKB BBQ MK II so we're already on the look-out for an old dual-axle trailer as a base.

Andy

Ah man, hauling that thing on the back of a trailer is a cert to get some attention from the fuzz army!

Wouldn't you have to line it with steel or something. Temperatures of a good charcoal fire would probably start causing it to deform a bit.
