OK, a friend is buildig a stretch T bucket and needs some front tyres but is having a problem sourcing them; he lives here but the car is based in Ohio where his mechanic is working on it.

Wheels are 16" x 3" wire rims.

Most tyres in this size are the traditional rounded motorcycle profile which is what he is tying to avoid. He's after something with a flat side to side profile like a larger car tyre.

Overall tyre diameter needs to be no more than 24" but more than 22" otherwise he has clearance problems.

He can get the profile in an 18" but the tyre diameter goes up to 26.5" which is too big for the car

Internet search isn't throwing up much

I'm thinking older british sports car tyres but can't think of anything that small with a flat profile. Any ideas or suggestions gratefully received?

Lomgstones came up trumps with a Dunlop 350 x 16 RS2 Racing Side Car tyre; exact right size, the profile is just what he was looking for. Thanks
