Has anyone tried Soda Blasting before? I started work on my chassie today and figured it was going to take ages with the wire wheel along with having to change out wheel sizes to get into all areas...  :?

Frosts have this http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=9531&frostProductName=Eastwood+Soda+Blaster+&catID=37&subCatID=&FrostCat=NewProducts&FrostSubcat=\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://www.frost.co.uk/item_Detail.asp?productID=9531&frostProductName=Eastwood+Soda+Blaster+&catID=37&subCatID=&FrostCat=NewProducts&FrostSubcat=

Which looks slow on the little video on there but if you see some on youtube like http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5CIkyg5R-YU&feature=related\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=5CIkyg5R-YU&feature=related it looks quite quick. Although I know the other one is probably using a more powerfull compressor..

Seems expensive?

Im really tempted with the Frost one to do all of my chassie etc but I dont want to get it if its lame and takes longer than wire brushing..

i would clean it and then por 15 it  blasting a chassis with home kit will take forever

if its a bare chassis id jet wash it repeatedly with degreaser and wire brush it

Rocky

dont bother if its rusty, soda will not remove rust you need a heavier grit for that. Soda is ideal for plastic, fibreglass etc but is very slow unless you have a really big compressor which churns out around 35cfm.
There is a new media out in the States but it hasnt come over yet its like sandblasting but doesnt flash rush as quickly

Exactly what I needed to know - thanks guys..

Arr.. guess it means more wire brushing?
