I'm after an SD1 Rover if anyone know's where theres one hiding.

Would prefer a series 1 really and it must be a v8 auto.

Or a series 2 Xj6

Cheers peeps.

Roadkill

Nope, Sorry, mate.

There used to be a Rover SD1 in a yard near here but that disappeared a couple of years back . . . I did make an offer on it when I first saw it but no joy.

Not many 70's or 80's British cars left now, most have long gone to the scrap yard or the few that are left are classics in some ones garage

philoldsmobile

yup, very thin on the ground..

you'd be more likely to find a nice tidy XJ40 for sensible money than a series 2 or even 3

v8mad0

I hear what your saying, it just wouldn't be the same rolling up to a classic car show in a Xj40.

I've found this just gotta sort out to go see it

v8mad0

Well I bought the above Rover, its a 1976 3.5 V8 auto, only done 69,000 from new with only two owners.

Needs afew bits and bobs but very good over all

I've always had a soft spot for SD1's

Had a few over the years

Roadkill

My Dad had a couple - the V8's were like missiles !

Motorama

Cant see the appeal myself but it looks and sounds a clean car.

philoldsmobile

absolutely lovely looking car, the lines of the SD1 could only have come from europe, very subtle and classy.

the SD1 was years ahead of its time, especialy the later vitesse models..

good choice sir!
