Improvements at GM

GM come in for a lot of stick in the media, which in turn translates to a lot of bad mouthing on the streets.  Personally I think their cars are making huge improvements in quality.

Well JD Power have their initial 2009 quality survey results in and while Toyota did very well, Cadillac has improved by 19 percent since last year's study and comes in third (they were 10th last year), just behind Lexus and Porsche.  Mercedes, BMW, Toyota etc were all further down the list...


Read that again:  Cadillac is now 3rd behind only Lexus and Porsche in quality scores.


Seven of the top ten manufacturing plants in North America are GM plants although the top plant is Toyota.

GM's biggest problem is ( hopefully was ! ) branding !
Too many brands trying to be all things to all customers just creates confusion and the customers walk away
