Thanks for the original offer anyway.

Normally I'd be there in a shot but, well . . .

Christmas part on the 11th so might have to wait till I sober up before driving over on the Saturday

It just so happens that Debbie's xmas do is the night before too.  Can't turn down free dinner/bed/breakfast, so the start time on Saturday will be slightly delayed.

The current plan is:

Friday - preparation begins. I'll be off work and doing as much on my own as possible.  If anyone is off, they're more than welcome to join me.

Saturday - late start - I guess 10:30-11am is realistic time for helpers to arrive (having breakfast in St Albans, aiming to be back by 10am)  Assuming I've done all of the one-man prep work on the Friday, actual work will begin when the first helper arrives.  Aim to get the engine pulled ASAP, and fixed.  If possible would like to be able to slot it back in place/bonnet back on before the end of the day, but accept this is unlikely.

Sunday - ensure that everything is back together and running by the end of the day.

I'll repost this info (+plus any additions/changes) nearer the time.
