Now you'd think that wouldn't be difficult to locate manufactured in stainless steel, however once you add into the equation " Left Hand Thread " the phone goes quiet

I've tried all the fastening companies I know, anyone got any ideas

Roadkill

Very rare - Metric threads are seldom reverse.

You won't find it on the shelf . . . try searching the 'net.

Except when Ducati fit them to your right hand mirror

is it for a moped mirror ?

The right hand mirrors on Ducati's have a left hand thread, so like the left hand mirror the force of the wind actually tightens the bolt, rather than working it loose

The crappy mildsteel ones are rusting and because I have to move the mirrors inboard to enter the doorway, the repeated tightening and loosening is starting to ruin the allen caphead socket

Really didn't think it would be so difficult to find stainless steel replacements

dont ducati do them ?

Only in non plated mild steel, in their defence it is the only bit of the whole bike that I can question on finish

Gator

bit extreme but you could get them plated

ALFAST in luton?????????

Tried them and they said I'd have to have them specially made

Andy

Can almost guarentee it will have to be specially made. As someone else said 'M' threads aren't common in L/h form let alone a caphead bolt let alone in stainless.

If there's no other way e.g l/h studding with a nylock nut or something you'll end up forking out for someone to make one I reckon.
