I work with Stainless sheet now and have available LOADS of off cuts every day. Around 3000kg a day goes back for recycling.

Im thinking about making stuff with some of the off cuts. Anyone got any ideas?
Ive got some stuff for gardening ect as ive kind of gotten in to it a bit here.

So come on peeps, tig welding by a real mega pro is free to me and he is teaching me which is nice.

All grades of Stainless from .9mm>10mm thick.

Andy

For food prep stuff i think it has to be 400 series s/s.

Knock up some under bonnet bling to get polished up

Andy

scrap that, 304 is food prep grade!

nick69

I have both anyway

There are so many companies making engine bay bling I dont think its worth it

Andy

I'd love to have someone teach me TIG welding, it's a real art and mix between the silver soldering and MIG/Stick welding.

How big are the offcuts?

Could you make boxes out of them, like on Enduro bikes, or maybe smaller for tools etc?

nick69

yep that should no problem. Biggest is around 300mmx300mm. Long strips 250-300 long etc

Got some pics of what you mean?

nick69

Yeah that should be easy enough. How do they attach to the bikes?
Just looked up the price

HardRockCamaro

That's what I was thinking, you could make money on them...

The racks alone are normally £250 or so...
