FUBAR

Its a real shame to bin this kind of stuff when they still work fine but CRTs, especially 4:3 ones are now utterly worthless.

any charities you know that take them?
otherwise they all end up in Indian Landfills.
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Charities don't accept electrical goods now to the the PAT testing requirements etc . . . (ie. more hassle than it's worth).

That said that TV did me proud - 13 years of solid service.

The ONLY reason I upgraded was because I decorated the downstairs and the old telly just didn't fit in with how I wanted everything arranged.

I'll be gutted to bin it.

Actually Dean, How deep is it?  if it fits on my cabinet I may take it, purely so that I don;t have to watch the World cup in Black & white on my set in June because the scart sockets are f'kd.

Then I can dispose of it later in the year when I have the cash for a new TV.
