MOT time again for the daily Panda and she passed with one advisory

The front discs are nearly worn out, I knew they were getting quite stepped, another 6-8k miles they said

The mechanic at Days MK said it's not unusual for diesel Panda's to wear out the 1st set in around 20k miles

Our Panda is still on her first set of discs @ 64K miles

my Mondeo failed today, but only about £50 worth of stuff, no too sad

What was up with yours fieldy?

What is the average lifespan of discs? According to my history record I've only ever had one replacement of discs all round. That's at 170k.

Depends on :

A : How you drive.

B : The type of roads you drive the most on.

If your the type of driver who always slams the brakes on at the last minute and drives a lot around town, they won't last very long

On the other hand if you have good anticipation, brake gently and drive lots of motorway miles they can last a long time

Our Panda is mainly used around town so approaching 70k miles in four years is good

CV issue, something else and something else, I forget, it's a mate that is doing it all

My dad had all the pads changed for the first time on his Ford Focus at 80,000 miles.  The discs are the originals and did not need changing....
