Is it because most BMW drivers didn't know they were fitted with brakes?

Cunning Plan

Or indicators.

Also, not many people know, they are fitted with a device which forces the driver to tailgate and generally be a pr1ck. Wonder if it is this system that needs 'fixing' as I did have a BMW behind me the other day who actually kept their distance AND indicated
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)
1999 Jeep Cherokee XJ (modern classic daily driver)

Seems any big car manufacturer is in for it now whether there is a potential risk or not.

A guy at work bought one of those feck ugly Citreon C4 in the most disgusting baby vom green. So far he's had to have it recalled twice. Once for the windscreen wiper arm coming detached and secondly for the brake pipes which apparently could rub on the tyre.

Toyota got it hard in the States for the whole pedal-gate issue, but I know I'd rather the manufacturer recall the car than just let them crash and deny all knowledge. The news is so hell bent of fecking people over.

Rant over, still feeling ill. *grumble grumble*

Well I think Toyota had it coming in the states, if you look at the JD Powers reports for the last few years the gap between the high quality japanese vehicles and domestic vehicles was getting smaller all the time. In some cases the domestic product actually scored higher, but they never got much credit for it

I think that finally people to started to realise that may be the mighty Toyota wasn't quite so God like and once the Press smelled blood they moved in for the kill

It has certainly balanced the US market place, but I wouldn't bet anything against Toyota coming back into an even stronger position in the years to come

Just imagine a world where 9/10 drivers drive a Toyota
