I do a lot of sealing, my only concern is that they only ever show a very short strip of sealing, if you were doing the whole length of a bath for example, how many times would you have to stop to clean the excess sealer off

art b

ive used it for bath sealing,
you can stop and start again, and put the excess back on the wall with ya finger, run over it and there is no overlap...

the idea behind this bit of kit,is that the pressure you put on it forms a tight clean cut seal, that prevents moisture ingress,
i got mine on egay

I've always used a credit card to finish mine off if its in a difficult to get to space, otherwise its quicker to apply it right in the first place! Practise, practise, practise.

Good little tool though,

minniewinnie

Very handy piece of kit that I have used a similar product I picked up at B&Q or Home base cant remember which did not cost a lot and it defiantly saves the joint compound  and you can do the fancy edges quickly and easily

(Used it When I did my parents new house build they had a big kitchen and 3 bathrooms it took a truck load of tiles but once up on the wall I jointed them in under a day Wish brick work was as easy)

EDGE

I bought one of these for the tool box yesterday at 'the range'. It's a unibond branded one and was less than a quid !

holy crap, £9.99????

it was generally agreed last night they should be no more than 99p!

art b

i suppose the price is dependent on the original being developed, and then it costs to promote and distribute,

after all coke and redbull only cost around 5 pence a can to produce,
but theres one hell of a lot of promotion involved...
