if a martini is shaken, which it shouldnt be as it can 'bruise' the gin, it's technically a Bradford, or something with an equally silly name....

a gin martini should only be stirred - slowly - with an olive on a stick. Its a fierce drink and only very few of us can drink it without looking like a complete twat. I, fortunately, am one of the few due to my advanced years and regal like bearing.
