Went to gym and then work this morning, but it was deadly quiet after lunch so I bunked off

Been out in the Camaro, first time in over 11 weeks

then took the Ducati out for a ride

Life just doesn't get any better than needlessly wasting gallons of super unleaded

Once warm I did all the Camaro fluid levels, had to add 1/2 a litre of engine oil and removed about a litre of transmission fluid, all the other fluid levels were fine

Although I love my Z28 dearly, it drives like the old fashioned Yank it is, but the Ducati is just such a fantastic precision machine which is a joy to ride

I think your idea of an old fashioned Yank differs to mine.

Well done, BTW.

Well not 58 Caddy old, but the 4th Gen is basically a restyled 3rd Gen, so in terms of platform age it's 30+ years old

The Beast lives, although for the first time in it's life it didn't start straight away
Had to turn the engine over three times for about 15 seconds, until she even started to fire, which is unusual for a fuel injected engine

Pumped off the excess transmission fluid :

How did you manage to get an extra litre of transmission fluid?

I drove my car to work today

Well the only way to accurately check the level is with a hot engine, idling with the transmission in park.

I drained out 5 litres when I changed the filter, but that was over two days draining. When I took the sump off again to remove excess gasket sealer, I put another 5 litres of oil back in, but I only left it for a couple of hours draing.
So all the valve bodies and passages etc were probably still full
