I only have small lawn at the top of garden but I seem to spend hours each week trying to keeping it looking nice

The big hedge to the right hand side blocks the sunlight and lets more moss than grass grow, I've re-seeded it a dozen times

Well I ain't cutting it no more

Workmen down at my gym have been replacing the outdoor tennis court surfaces and there was a skip full of new off cuts. Got myself a few 1.5m wide strips 4m long. Seeing as it's made to play outdoor tennis on and has a 15 year guarantee I'm sure it will be fine in my backgarden

Total cost was £17:98 for 5kg of 6" galvanized nails to hold it down

Never having to cut the grass again...............priceless

NB : It will take a few weeks to flatten out as the grass underneath dies out

Rob

You should have made it into a crazy golf course

Have you got a BBQ area?

Yes under the 22m2 canopy which means we can use it what ever the weather

The cheap really crap stuff is £13 a square meter and the decent stuff that looks like proper grass is £22 per square metre

The garden next door had a membrane put down and then covered with bark, it's so windy up here that within the first fortnight most of it had blown over to one side of the garden or blow away

I'll just be happy to look out onto something green which requires hardly any maintenance

I understand why you done it Martyn, wouldn't have been my choice though... not convinced it looks alright IMO

Luckily the place i'm in the process of buying doesn't have a Garden
It's the time that we kill that keeps us alive...

Cunning Plan

It might be okay when it has weathered and added some patina a bit to blend it in.

At the moment it is a little...... 16 bit.

Never having to cut both hedges again even better

It took 23 trips to the local tip to get rid of all the hedge, gonna have put a new fence up, but worth it in the long run

Andy

Looks like you took down a hedge to reveal a forest!
