Cycling to work this morning the suspension on my Bike finally died when the shock snapped & bits fell off all over the Redway

I suppose for an 18th Birthday present its done quite well! 7 1/4 years of service

Now I NEED to buy a new one...

I thought you were talking about the 'maro for a minute then.

Still a new bike is cheaper than a new engine.

On the subject of the 'maro, how's it doing now?

Cunning Plan

you would be the coolest
1968 VW T2 Bay Bus (currently being restored and upgraded)

I drove it the long way to the gym & back tomorrow & it was fine!! as I thought I probably just flooded it trying to start it the other day

There was however still a tiny bit of 'Mayo' on the Oil dipstick

I'll see what its like tomorrow morning after driving it to brackley & back tonight, hopefully it will just be because its not had any long runs for a while.

The ones they have at Bling are cool, not very practical for cycling to work though.

Oh, didn't know about that.  Hope it's not as bad as it sounds.

the breathing system is definatley funky somewhere, so this could account for the mayo..

head gasket failure on LG4's is extremely rare, as for that matter is any real faiure, they can smoke leak and rattle into eternity, but rarely stop...

I reckon this car's possessed.  The amount of intermittent problems it gets is scary.
