Great time thus far.   Mega hot.  Lots of pictures.  Not rented a car yet but we need to to see the sites.

Going to "old Vegas" tonight downtown to see the old skool stuff.   We're on the 27th floor of the Flamingo, opposite the Bellagio and its famous fountains - without doubt one of the best views in the hotel, right on the strip.

Much better than I expected.  It's utterly fierce !

Awesome stuff!

Went there as a kid, all I remember was the volcano fountain, caesars palace light show, and loads of porn on the strip. Flyers, leaflets, cards, hookers strippers, you name it, there was a flyer for it. Crazy place Vegas!

beware in old vegas for pick pockets, especially when stood inside watching the light show on the ceiling.

Imperial Palace Hotel has a massive car collection you can view

Hiring a car later today so hopefully should get to see downtown and a few other sites.



All good so far.  

Am fairly concious of crime so will be extra careful downtown, thanks.

Would be good to see the car collection but am not that fussed . . . alot of "super" cars and italian stuff from what I've read which doesn't bother me.
Also the Imperial is having loads of work done at the moment and most of it is barriered off (labor day weekend - not a good time !).

The car we should be hiring, by the way, *should* be a Cadillac CTS . . . we'll see what I actually get though - I opted for "luxury" . . .



Reports from home say the Gazebo over the Camaro is still standing so that's good.

It was a Lincoln Town Car . . . but at least it's black.

Nearly crashed the F*cker last night though as it doesn't appear to have ABS and the traction control doesn't do $hit !



Drove out to the Grand Canyon yesterday . . . we're heading off over to California, in a bit.

That's three extra states ticked off for me.

Roadworks on the Interstate . . . Last minute signs . . . lots of people changing lanes last minute.

I hit the brakes hard (but not THAT hard) and she locked up and the back end drifted round making her point towards the barrier . . . I had to keep on the brakes but got her straight again O.K - albeit it took nearly two lanes !
