Attempted burglary last night

Had a go trying to get through the beading round one of the windows, couldn't manage it so smashed in the patio door, needless to say glass everywhere.

The Police, who were excellent btw turned up within the hour (non emergency call) and again this morning to dust, photograph etc, said another attempt was made a couple of streets over...didn't get in there either.

Off to screwfix shortly to buy better locks, fortress paint and a PIR to replace the standard flood light round the back and replace the bulbs in the security lamp down the side of the house.

All jobs I kept forgetting about / putting off!!...

Bastards! From the photo I guess they didn't get in?

Get the place done up like Fort Knox! Preferably with some maiming devices!

No they didn't get in someone, probably us returning from Tesco, must have disturbed them.

Phones you if your alarm goes off.

P.S Anyone got a tall ladder I could borrow?
...and a way of getting it to Leighton Buzzard...and the same person isn't scared of heights....

My ladder is good enough for the security lamps but not tall enough for the Alarm box.

Yep.

I tied it to the roof bars on the Mondeo and stuffed some carpet underneath . . . Yours is a saloon, though isn't it ?

It's here - and I will be headed to L.B over the weekend . . .

My roof bars are fixed.

Let me see where I'm at and when.

It's PITA moving the ladder the way I do but if you're stuck we can sort something . . . .

I'll call/text a bit later.
