The new Blue one wins...

I've got that same scenario, too.

That said my smaller JCB jack is still rated at a higher load than the low-lift one I had off of Ray.

And it has proven itself to be very handy even though I now have a superior jack to potentially replace it.

Incursus

In the market for a low lift jack myself ... details?
Been using the scissor lift from the Mondeo for the last year

Cunning Plan

Nice! TOOLS!

What rating is it? Is it a low-lift one? I can't tell from that angle..

from that company too.
I got the 3 ton one because it was only £10 more than the 2.5 ton one.

Its a bit bigger that I thought it would be TBH as I didn't read the bit on ebay where i got it through that said it is 45kg!

45kg!

Ouch.  I'd be looking for a lightweight one...

Like this I guess http://www.sgs-engineering.com/tja25-aluminium-trolley-jack?___store=sgs_en&___store=sgs_en&gclid=CKm_u-y-sLYCFUbMtAodBSIAuw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\"><Link>

They often have one in CostCo as well but at the best part of £200 I'll be keeping an eye out for second hand ones nearer to my birthday

Roadkill

I think my one must be around 45kg, too.

The CostCO one has a closed height of 100mm - the heavier ones have a closed height of 68mm.

FYI.

Hmm worth knowing ta, Steve's jack only just fit at the front end and even then I sometimes had to give it a tiny boost up with the scissor jack or do one side at a time

Minimum Height: 86 mm though only 1.5 ton.. Mondeo is around 1600kg Mustang up to 1500kg but you generally only jack up one end or corner at a time... thoughts?

1.5 ton

Don't forget that  1 Ton does NOT equal 1 Tonne.

1.5 Ton = 1360kg

Not that you're picking up the whole car, of course, but worth bearing in mind.

The CostCo one is only handle operated . . . I must admit I'd personally prefer a "foot" operated option as the handle is a complete bastard if you have anything parked with a metre of you.

This is like the one I had off Ray :
