LS1 Question (Martin?)

Just reading up on some LS1 info as it's always good to research purchases...

I keep seeing LS1 M6 and LS1 A4 being used, can anyone shed any light on what this refers to?

Yeah, a fairly common term.  I've seen it used when refering to axle and gearing combos.  Like X camshaft is perfect for 3.73 rear with M6/A4 ....

Oh yer! There was me thinking it might be two separate types of LS1 engine or something and its nothing more than the gearbox!
